The month of Mars marks the tenth anniversary of the premiere of the opera “Piedade”.
The soloists were the Argentinian soprano Paula Almerares (Ana da Cunha), tenor Marcos Paulo (Dilermando de Assis) and Homero Velho (Euclides da Cunha), besides guitar player Paulo Pedrassoli.
Maestro Isaac Karabtchevsky conducted the Petrobras Symphony in the performance and CD recording. André Heller-Lopes was the stage director and the costumes were created by Marcelo Marques.
“Piedade” was commissioned by the maestro Isaac Karabtchevsky and Petrobras Symphony.
